Winter Wild Herb Days

Yes, we have some Winter Wild Herb Days coming up soon!

As usual, we’ll begin each day with a plant walk, and we’ll incorporate what wild herbs IMG_2891we can into our preparations when we come indoors.

The first Winter Wild Herb Day will be Sunday, Feb. 18 from 12:30-4:30 and it will focus on CHOCOLATE!!! We’ll be making herbal hot chocolate, chocolate herbal goo balls, truffles, and we’ll see what else; maybe chocolate bars. Everything will be dairy-free and soy-free, but we will probably use coconut and local honey among our ingredients.

The second Winter Wild Herb Day will be Monday, Feb. 19 (presidents’ day), also from 12:30-4:30, and will focus on Fire Cider. You’ll go home with a large jar of your very own Fire Cider and instructions on how to complete the process. Depending on timing, we may even manage to make a second jar with a different herbal vinegar or variation.
